SOCIAL SCIENCE WEEK 2019-20
Mayoor School, SriGanganagar celebrated Social Science Week from November 18-22, 2019. The week commenced with a special assembly on Architectural heritage of India. The students of middle school presented informative and inspiring talk on the various monuments that are a part of our rich cultural heritage. Another special assembly on inspiring speeches by our leaders was held for the primary school students. The week also saw students of classes VII-VIII competing in an Inter House declamation Competition on the topic ‘Elections in India’. The interclass debate held for class IX-X students was a fiercely contested one with both the sides of the motion ‘Modi government is good for India‘ vehemently defending their arguments. The points and counterpoints made by students were a testimony that our youngsters do understand the politics and policies of India. The students of classes I-V attempted a Fun Sheet on social science that had questions of general awareness. The week was a vibrant attempt to bring an awareness among the students, along with giving them an opportunity for public speaking.
