At Mayoor School, SriGanganagar, the faculty remains committed to enhancing their skill and a collaborative approach to this is adopted. A mutually engaging set of skills exchange was carried out on Saturday, November 23, 2019 by the teachers of various subjects on a number of topics. Ms. Japsimran Kaur, the School Chemistry faculty conducted a vibrant session on ‘Self-confidence and its role in Success’. She brought home the various aspects of importance of self-confidence, reasons of lack of self-belief and how to generate it in oneself. Her well made presentation was highly engaging.
The second session conducted by Ms. Shiva Bishnoi, English faculty, focused upon ‘Teacher and Teaching’. She talked about the techniques that the teachers can adopt in the classroom to carry out effective teaching. Some of her suggestions were practical and easy to carry out in day to day classroom teaching. Ms. Shiva also implored her colleagues to engage children in peer teaching and clarification of concepts.
The final session was was conducted by a team comprising of Ms. Seema Giri and Ms. Anjali Tyagi, the math faculties. Their topic was ‘Finding Mathematics everywhere’. They spoke on how to engage young students for learning of mathematics. They gave some useful tips to all present on how to use day to day observations for teaching mathematics in an easy manner. Fabionacci sequence, Golden Ratio and many such concepts were discussed.
These mutual sessions, beneficial for each one present, were well planned and effective. Kudos to Team MSS.
